Editorial idea
I like how the orange came out but i think i would like a more of a dusted bronze look and not so bright as this.I also want to work on the cuts going down the face, the scarification doesn't look real enough .I would also like to experiment more with the scars going down the face i am not happy with the look of them at the moment.i would like to try maybe some tissue instead to make it more real looking.
A bit more of a tamer version for a catwalk look,as i do not want to take the attention away from the clothing.

Scarification using tissue PVA glue and foundation.
I like the effect of the tissue i will experiment with this on my face next.
the tissue i applied to my hand reminded me of the work of Richard Long,an artist who makes sculptures as he travels.this was made from limestone.

Phyllis Galembo
Whilst researching I came across the work of Phyllis Galembo. A fine art portrait photographer and author of books on Halloween, masquerade, ritual ceremony and fancy dress from Haiti, Brazil, Cuba and Africa.
I really enjoy the playfulness with the hair the look of being covered in your surroundings.

Wow tuck me a while to notice the women's face peeping out!beautiful hair piece!
I love this image for its pure madness! There's so much going on here, this is how i want my catwalk look to be. Madness!
This image reminded me of my early research into the photographer Yann Arthus.
I do really enjoy these color's together.

putting objects into the hair to create shape Avant Garde style!!!
I created this look by sectioning the hair into pony tails.I wanted maximum height so tied up the hair at the highest point,Then secured using hair bands.I then parted the hair to then place a polystyrene ball in. I then secured using the hair and tying with a hair band to then repeat until I reached the end of the hair.I then just wanted to experiment with textures.Using some odd bits of felt and hair pieces I draped into place bits around the hair.
I feel this look would also look good if i tied the pony tail bits together to create a big ring with the hair and then using wire to secure the shape.
Hair
This look has been created by adding fillers
earth to the hair. Once it dried and went hard it looked like mud or clay in the hair. This look could work well for my tribal look.A possible dread style look could be created in the same way.
Avant Garde hair
Avant refers to people who Experiment and Innovate art and culture. It could also be used to push the boundaries of any culture.
African tribes woman from the Fulani tribe
Its beautiful how this boy looks like a tree with feathers dispersing from his head.like a Mohawk.
I like the fact this boy has just placed a bunch of feathers on the front of his head and it looks like coming out like a tail from his head.he looks very bird esk!
These two women look almost statuesque with the only difference in color being the women's coiled piece around her wrist.
I really enjoy this image for the fact that she has taken a fish placed it on her head and it immediately screams catwalk to me.I also really like the coils around the arms and the red paint against her her dark skin.
I enjoy the bowl like shape of the hair it reminds me of a Vidal Sassoon look. I Also really like the tribal patterns on the lady's bodies
