The Mursi Tribe.

mental image!here is a woman from the Mursi tribe.she has removed her lip plate leaving her with this draping lip.i love the paint on the face the way it looks crusty on the eyebrows and on the cheeks giving you the feel that shes had the paint on for some time

The Mursi are amongst the best known of the peoples of the lower Omo. The pottery lip-plates worn by women in their lower lips have made them a prime attraction for tourists and helped to sustain a view of them, as  untouched people, living in one of the wildernesses of Africa.For the women of the tribe its the bigger the plate you have the more pain you can with take making you more attractive to the males as the more pain you can take demonstrates you will be able to take the pain of child birth.
